John Punni (Partner)


John is an equity partner and Head of Commercial Property. He was previously a partner at Tollers LLP before he joined Dunham Law in 2008.

John qualified as a solicitor in 2002. He studied Law, Economics and Management Science at Leicester University and then completed Common Professional Exams and the Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University.

John has a wide range of experience in all aspects of Commercial Property Law including assembling sites for developers, acquiring and disposing of freehold and leasehold property and arranging and advising upon complex option agreements, planning agreements, overage and Section 106 Agreements. John has a particular expertise in dealing with property issues relating to the waste industry.

Outside of the office John enjoys travelling and DIY.

Phillip Adam (Consultant)


Phillip has over 30 years experience dealing with all aspects of property and commercial law including development, planning, procurement and business contracts. He has worked mainly in private practice but has 6 years experience working in-house in local government. When in local government Phillip project led a town centre re-development and in private practice he concluded the terms of a development agreement for the construction of a multi-storey car park, 200 residential units and a leisure facility on behalf of a local authority client.

Phillip currently provides consultancy services to Dunham Law and is a skilled negotiator and project manager.

Phillip’s recent experience includes acting for the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the acquisition of prestigious premises in London, negotiating a settlement between investors and a major bank and negotiating the settlement of a building dispute, in both instances without the need for court proceedings.

He has also acted for privately owned property companies in the development of both commercial and residential properties.

Phillip has worked on finalising the terms of the management agreement and supporting property documents for Fusion Lifestyle for their operation of the new sports stadium and the soon to be completed £multi-million Olympic size swimming pool complex at the Uxbridge Lido to be run in partnership with Hillingdon Borough Council. He has also dealt with the transfer of over 30 sports facilities into the not for profit sector. Phillip offers a unique blend of commercial and local government experience.

Gemma Leman-Bunkall (Solicitor)


After achieving a BA Hons Law and Business Gemma trained at a high street firm where she dealt with a variety of work. Property has always been the mainstream of Gemma’s work, and whilst training she was involved in the redevelopment of Ampthill town centre in Bedfordshire, acted for developers at all stages of their sites and advised one developer when they were prosecuted for breach of health and safety violations.

Gemma qualified in 2006 and joined Dunham Law later that year as a solicitor in the property department dealing with:
  • Sales and Purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfer of Equity
  • Shared Ownership Schemes
  • Newbuilds
  • Any other property related issues
Recently Gemma has been updating the case management system and currently is pushing to utilize the scanning and IT resources in the office for a paperless office.

Gemma’s interests outside of work include netball, socialising and renovating her house.

Serena Walsh (Assistant)


Serena is an Assistant within the Property Department working alongside Sue Miller.

She joined the firm in November 2006 and has developed a broad knowledge of Property Law.

She is currently studying Law part-time to achieve an ILEX Qualification to become a practising Solicitor.

Out of work Serena enjoys reading, shopping, socialising and travelling.

Ella Radband


Ella obtained a BA (Hons) in Business Studies at De Montfort Bedford in 2004 and joined Dunham Law in February 2005.

She has a broad knowledge of conveyancing but specialises in post completion work. Part of her role includes completing stamp duty forms, registering transactions at the Land Registry for both registered and unregistered land for freehold and leasehold land.

Ella is currently studying to become a legal executive solicitor part time by distance learning at Ilex Tutorial College Bedford.

Her interests include swimming, pilates, travelling, socialising, going to the cinema and theatre.

Linda Wheaton (Assistant)


Linda has worked for Dunham Law since 2006. 

She is an Assistant in the Commercial Property department and provides assistance to a Partner, Associate and Trainee Solicitor within the team.  Linda has vast experience as a legal secretary and legal assistant and has a number of secretarial qualifications.   

Linda’s outside interests include socialising, swimming, long walks and reading a variety of different subjects.
